This book has made such an amazing difference in my house. The recipes are easy to understand and almost always come out correct (anytime it's been wrong it was a user error). I've made about 10 so far. I am a pretty inexperienced cook and have been trying to figure out how to get away from processed and frozen foods, to focus on flavor rather than empty calories. Obviously cooking from scratch requires more effort than tossing a frozen pizza in the oven but it's worth it. Trust me, we still feel the need to do if we don't have the time that but I'm finding I would rather do a little more for a great meal.Since it's already laid out for two people I don't have to guess and figure out how to make a half or third portion. I like the fact I can make the recipe several times if I have the right fresh ingredients rather than reheating food. I find that most foods, except for a select few such as pasta, don't reheat well.Also, I've dropped a few pounds after getting this book :)

This cookbook was fantastic. I found numerous recipes that were perfect for cooking for myself. I absolutely loved this cookbook. There was only a small handful of recipes that I wouldn't make for myself.As I go deeper into this cookbook, my 5 star rating just keeps getting more solid. As someone who is really starting to watch calories, log foods/drinks and all that good stuff, there are not only plenty of light recipes, but the nutritional information to boot. I have made well over a dozen recipes from this book and the recipes are solid, tasty and easy to prep. Very cool after a hard day's work that I can eat healthy and quickly. Furthermore, this cookbook has prompted me try new foods/dishes, particularly in the seafood area. For example, I loathed salmon prior to getting this cookbook. I regularly make salmon now. Pictured is Salmon with Fresh Tomato Relish. YUM!If I had one criticism of this book, it would be that all the recipes don't have the nutritional information attached. I don't "eat light" everyday and it is really a pain in the rear end to try to figure it out and I probably am doing it wrong anyway.

My boyfriend and I love this book. We know we can count on America's Test Kitchen to provide really great, tried and true, tested recipes with almost a scientific exactness to the measurements and process. I like that it's "cooking for two" because neither of us is really good at portion control and we'd always buy way too many ingredients without this. The recipes are great, there's a lot of them organized by meal, but the thing I've found most helpful is the tips on the side, like how to cut an onion or what's the difference between potatoes. I'd absolutely recommend to a friend. America's Test Kitchen is my go-to book!

This book just came in the mail yesterday but I already love it. There's recipes, as expected, but there's so many tips and so much good information besides the bare bones. I've been practicing cooking for about a year now, and I feel like I've gotten some good main dishes mastered, but the dish I made from here yesterday (chicken vesuvio, pg 121) was definitely the best thing I've ever cooked (claims my husband, but I agree). I'm about to try out the crepe recipe for a late breakfast. I definitely recommend this book for people that cook for one or two people. I'm so excited to waste less food. No longer will I be eating *insert most stuff I made following a normal recipe* for the next three days due to the large portion sizes .:)

I downloaded the Kindle version of this book as soon as I'd opened my new air fryer. The manual that came with the fryer included no recipes whatsoever. I chose this book because it includes lots of handy charts that cover the basics as well as actual recipes for all kinds of dishes from appetizers to desserts. So happy I got this book, it is really my go-to for my air frying needs

This book was different. I'm planning on making almost everything in it. plus, it's all convenient items that you probably have in your pantry or fridge anyway. I love my air fryer and use it almost every day. This recipe book provides endless options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or any other time you feel like cooking something. Thanks to this book, I can use my air fryer for pretty much any meal I want every day.Buy this cookbook. I love it.

This book needs some serious proofreading - numerous errors throughout such as 'stomachs aches' and "but they taste" when it should be 'but the taste'. Recipe instructions for "Clean Breakfast Sandwich" on p.24-5 calls for one slice of bread but the picture shows two slices and it calls for 1/2 cup of butter. That's one stick of butter on one slice of bread! The Roast Pork Loin with Red Potatoes (p.122) makes four servings with 2 lbs. of pork and 2 red potatoes. That is a lot of pork. Yet the following recipe for Rosemary Lamb Chops (p.124) uses 4 lamb loin chops to serve six. One other flaw that really bothered me was the inconsistent use of measurements - sometimes tsp., tbsp., cup, etc. is used yet the next recipe will used grams. I'm returning the book to Amazon for a refund.

This is an excellent cookbook with tons of delicious recipes. The recipes are easy to follow and not overly complicated. My husband is a picky eater but has really enjoyed everything I have made out of this cookbook. This is a large cookbook so you will not get bored with it any time soon. For the price you are getting tons of recipes you actually want to eat. If you are cooking for 4 people, just double what the recipe calls for and it still turns out great. This is one of my favorite cookbooks at the moment, highly recommend.
