Very nice looking wall calendar by artist Luis Royo. Its a 12 x 12 inch wall calendar. Great for any enthusiast of fantasy, scifi, gaming, D&D, gothic, anime, cosplay or fans of the likes. Would suggest buying two, one for hanging on the wall and one for storage box, collecting. Also great as a gift. Quality of printing looks good, color looks about right. Paper quality thou it seems most wall calendars is not as sturdy as each year goes by, it gets either lighter in weight or thinner. Wall calendar should be sturdy enough to last hanging on walls so it will not tear slowly due to gravity as it gets heavier every time you add/flip to a new month. Would suggest to buy those ring/hole supporter that you put around three notes college paper or similar to support the longevity of your wall calendar. Helps take some of the stress away from weight/gravity as you flip and add to each month, as gravity slowly takes its toll. It would be nice if they added extra protection/enforcement of some types on the hole where you hang up the calendar. But that would cost extra I think.
I've been getting some sort of "hot babe" fantasy calendar every year for god knows how long, and for the last couple have switched to these luis royo calendars. The art is really great, and small little things like this seem to be the last bastion of products with sex appeal, not yet touched or destroyed by 2018 politics. Since im a grown man I have to sort of tuck it away around my desk area but I can still see and appreciate the art work.The only downside is he pretty much recycles all the art year after year, I haven't really noticed anything new per se. There always seems to be one or two weird drawings with beasts that I don't quite enjoy but overall this is a nice artistic purchase for me
Lovely Royo art pieces with good overall layout. The art lays out over the top page and then bleeds down onto the lower calendar grid page, setting the overall color for borders, etc. However, that color also influences the background of the calendar grid. It's still usually close to white, but it's always a little off, so the contrast is lowered just a bit. The numbers are also printed in a 1/4-inch font that can be hard to read from a few feet away. It marks appropriate holidays and phases of the moon.
This is a fantastic calendar if you like the art designs of Luis Royo. The only way it could have been better is if they let you pick the designs out yourself.
I have bought several Royo calendars in the past, but this 2018 calendar is by far the best. I particularly like the fact there are not any distracting grotesque creatures.
Big fan of Royo so no complaints. It's a calendar, hangs on the wall, what more do we need it to do.
